After discussion of what you wish to achieve and assessment of your treatment needs, the specialist will advise if Restylane Skin Boosters is suitable for you. After a treatment plan has been agreed, and only once you are happy to proceed, you will be asked to read, understand and sign a consent form before the treatment can begin.
Restylane Skin Boosters are injected into the skin with the state-of-art mesotherapy technique. The Treatment improves natural hydration levels and boosts collagen production and elastin in the deeper layers of the skin. This in turn improves the skin surface texture and appearance. Numbing cream can be used to make the procedure more comfortable. The treatment is quick, typically taking about 30 minutes. Treatment with Restylane Skin Boosters does not affect facial expression and the benefits can normally be seen over the following days.
Restylane Skin Boosters products are biodegradable, which means they will be naturally broken down by the body. To ensure an optimal and long-lasting result, a course of three treatments 4-5 weeks apart is recommended, followed by a maintenance treatment once every 6 months. Downtime following a treatment is minimal, and many clients are able to return straight to work. After Restylane Skin Boosters treatment some reactions might occur, these include; slight redness, swelling, itching, bruising, pain and tenderness. The reactions are generally mild to moderate and usually disappear shortly after injection. They typically resolve spontaneously within one or two days.

As Skinboosters are injected directly into the dermis, rejuvenation occurs below the skin surface. This means that patients can resume normal activity immediately after treatment. However, in order to ensure a smooth result, we recommend that patients wait to touch or cleanse the face for at least four hours post-treatment. 4-6 hours after the initial injections, patients can cleanse the face with water and a gentle cleanser. On the day of treatment, it’s also best to avoid makeup, strenuous exercise, intense heat or sun exposure, as well as pressure on the treatment areas (i.e. sleeping on one’s side).
For most patients, results from Restylane Skinboosters will be apparent right after treatment, though some patients may also observe mild swelling or redness at or near the injection site. Results will continue to improve over the next several days, and optimal results generally appear after the second or third treatment session in a treatment plan.
The side effects to Restylane Skinboosters are typically mild, and include redness, swelling, and occasional bruising on or near the injection site. In order to avoid any bruising, we recommend patients abstain from using any blood thinning medications (such as Aspirin or Eliquis) for the week prior to treatment. If patients do experience any swelling, redness, or bruising in the treatment area, these symptoms will dissipate naturally over the course of the next few days.
