How does Ultherapy work?
Ultherapy uses ultrasound technology— this technology has been used confidently for decades in the medical field—to lift and tighten your skin without invasive surgery, especially in Toronto. At the appropriate temperature for collagen repair, Ultherapy deposits targeted energy deep beneath the skin. It launches a process in the body called neocollagenesis to make new collagen. When existing collagen has heat applied, it responds by sending signals to the body to create more. There are no injections or chemicals used. Instead, Ultherapy uses the body's natural collagen production processes.
The Ultherapy machine has four fundamental parts. The first component is a control unit featuring a touchscreen for visualizing tissue and monitoring progress. The second crucial component of the system is the Ulthera handpiece. There are six transducers that interact with the handpiece, and each with a unique treatment depth. The transducers aid in the viewing of the area and target several tissue depths, including 4.5 mm, 3 mm, and 1.5 mm. They comprise the third component of the system. Finally, all supplies are stored on the Ultherapy Cart, flexible for any treatment space.
